With over 300 participants from our community, the Hunger Walk is a collaborative effort between The Franciscan Center, Associated Churches, and Miss Virginia’s House to promote hunger awareness in our community and raise funds for hunger relief. Participants can support the effort by “Walking the Walk” with sponsored teams, or by “Writing-the-Walk” with a tax-deductible contribution. All proceeds from the Walk directly help our Al-len County neighbors in need.

Our biggest fundraiser of the year which helps us to continue growing our ministries. The event includes testimonials and dinner, along with cash, silent and live auctions. The event holds 300 seats for area business leaders and Franciscan Center supporters. This is not only a wonderful fundraising event, it is a great networking opportunity! Learn more here.

Thanksgiving Tuesday

The Franciscan Center's Thanksgiving Tuesday Event will be held on November 22rd, 2011, 9am to noon. The Franciscan Center's goal is to hand out 1,500 turkeys or hams and help ensure a Thanksgiving meal to every family that comes to our pantry. We are in need of 10-12 lb turkeys and hams, or donations to allow us to purchase them in bulk. $100 will feed about 9 families. Contact The Franciscan Center at 260-744-3977.

Fun 101.7 WLDE Stuff-A-Bus Event

November 2011

Fun 101.7 WLDE will be expanding their annual Stuff-A-Bus Event by having 4 buses, as well as supporting both Associated Churches (AC) and The Franciscan Center (TFC). AC will be accepting donations of non-perishable foods for their food bank, and TFC will be accepting OTC medicines and personal hygiene items for their Medicine Cabinet. Donations and volunteers will be needed at each bus For more information call The Franciscan Center at 744-3977 or Associated Churches at 422-3528.
