The Franciscan Center is a not-for-profit ministry based on the south-east side of Fort Wayne, Indiana, that provides free food and clothing through these five programs to those in need:

1. St. Peter’s Sack Lunch Program, where we create over 1,000 sack lunches every week to be delivered to the hungry on Saturday mornings.
2. St. Clare’s Clothes Closet, where we provide clothing, household items and toys at a minimal cost.
3. St. Anthony’s Food Pantry, where we provide free food for nearly 300 clients a week.
4. Feed My Sheep Ministry, where the Franciscan Center provides the tools for community groups to operate food drives and donate food to our Food Pantry.
5. St. Joseph Assistance Ministry, where we provide over-the-counter medication and personal needs in times of emergency and special circumstances.

Now in its 16th year the Franciscan Center serves over 25,000 clients a year.

Through generous donations of money, food, time and gifts we are able to make a difference in our community for those that need our help, no questions asked. We only ask for identification to track utilization of our programs.

Since 1989, the Franciscan Center has embraced the spirit of kindness and gentleness practiced by Saint Francis of Assisi, who dedicated his life to helping those less fortunate than him. As our programs grow, it becomes more apparent that the potential for need in the Fort Wayne community is great.
